Reverse Engineering recreates accurate, editable 3D CAD models from existing physical components — using precision measurement and 3D scanning data to capture exact geometry where no original design files exist.

This process is used to digitize legacy parts, validate manufactured components against design intent, support redesign and improvement of older tooling, and create documentation for components that were never originally modeled in CAD.

The resulting CAD models can be used directly for redesign, tooling development, quality inspection, and manufacturing — enabling faster part replacement, design iteration, and long-term digital documentation of critical components.
